Community Wildlife Habitat
Hatboro has joined the NWF! The National Wildlife Federation’s Community Wildlife Habitat™ program partners with cities, towns, counties, neighborhoods, and communities of all kinds to become healthier, greener, and more wildlife-friendly.
If 50 Hatboro gardens can be individually certified as Wildlife Habitats, the borough can attain certification as a Community Wildlife Habitat. With this certification, Hatboro can align itself with other environmentally conscious municipalities in our area, becoming part of a veritable “Corridor of Habitat”. This corridor of habit allows beneficial insects such as bees, butterflies, birds, and other animals to flourish in our locale. The EAC of Hatboro would like to encourage 50 property owners to achieve certification of their gardens as wildlife habitats by Earth Day 2022. We request the community’s help to achieve this goal.
